and a commitment to continually further our education.
Each staff member has a special interest
in specific fields of Physiotherapy, thereby broadening

Rob
O'Donnell
Physiotherapist
Rob O’Donnell graduated from La Trobe University
in 1992. He has special interests in the fields of athletics
and running injuries, as well as wrist, hand and finger
splinting. Rob has represented Australia on five occasions
in long distance running and is still a regular on the
running circuit.

Anthony
Lance
Physiotherapist
Anthony Lance also graduated from La Trobe University
in 1992. Anthony’s major sporting background is
with football, and his special interests include knee
and ankle injuries, as well as treatment of jaw (TMJ)
conditions.

Neeraj
Kochhar
Physiotherapist
Neeraj Kochhar graduated from the University
of Melbourne with honors in 1998. Neeraj has been with
SSPC since that time and took up Directorship in 2003.
Outside sporting interests include cricket, squash and
badminton. Treating cricket injuries remain a passion,
along with treating shoulder injuries and knee injuries.
Neeraj also has a special interest in the relationship
between biomechanics and injury.

Amanda
Hunt
Physiotherapist
Amanda Hunt graduated from La Trobe University
in 1991. She has worked both in Geelong and Sydney and
is a Mc Kenzie qualified practitioner. Amanda’s
special interests are the treatment of spinal conditions
as well as Women’s Health physiotherapy, in particular
pregnancy related musculoskeletal conditions. Amanda
now combines her physiotherapy with motherhood.

Michelle
O'Donnell
Physiotherapist
Michelle has joined the SSPC team after 8 years
working at Malvern Sports Medicine Centre. Michelle
was the head physio at Oakleigh Charges in the AFL Under
18 competition from 1996-2003. Already she has been
involved in the treatment of Luke and Sam Power, Brett
Thornton and Ian Prendergast. Michelle brings a great
deal of experience to SSPC and enjoys treating all adolescent
injuries, hand injuries and also runs SSPC's hydrotherapy
program.

Jenny
Turner
Physiotherapist
Jen joins us with a wealth of experience dealing
with both the elite and general population. Jen has
been at SSPC for 4 years now. Previous to this Jen spent
3 years in America, prior to which she ran a sports
and spinal practice in Drysdale. Jen has worked at National
and International Gymnastic events, the Australian Open
Tennis and has also covered various Triathalon, Swimming
and Netball events. Her outside interests include surfing,
running bike riding and looking after her 2 young children.

Victoria
Kahn
Physiotherapist
Vic joined SSPC after graduating with honors
from Melbourne University in 2003. With a background
in Netball, Athletics and Tennis in which she achieved
state representation, she has an interest in all sports
injuries. Vic is involved with the Ormond Amateur Football
Club and the St Kilda Cricket Club, and she is particularly
interested in treating shin pain in athletes of all
levels. Vic was physio for the VAFA Representative Squad
in 2006/07 and the All Australian U23 Football squad
in 2007.

Beed
Physiotherapist
David joined SSPC after graduating from Melbourne
University in 2003. Since then, David has developed
a special interest in treating running and cycling injuries
and is quite an enthusiastic distance runner and cyclist
himself. He also enjoys treating hamstring injuries
and growth related problems in children. David has also
worked as physiotherapist for the Prahran Football Club
since 2004.

Leah
Bailey
Physiotherapist
From the Penninsula, Leah makes the trek to East
Bentleigh on a daily basis to treat her loyal following
of patients. She enjoys treating sporting injuries and
has spent the last 4 years working with local football
clubs including Frankston and Old Haileybury. To complement
her in-clinic consultation, Leah runs the "Lift-for-Life"
program to assist Diabetics in managing their condition.
She also performs a number of home visits assisting
the eldery with various complaints ranging from back
and neck pain to mobility issies. Outside interests
include gymnastics, basketball and hockey which she
plays competitively.

Alexander
Hunter
Physiotherapist
Alex graduated from New Zealand in 2005 and has
worked in sports and spinal physiotherapy since that
time. He has a keen interest in Rugby injuries and plays
at a high level himself.

Tanya
Szylkrot
Physiotherapist
Tanya is a Mlebourne University Graduate and
as a physiotherapist she has a very keen interest in
sporting injuries especially in AFL footballers. To
complement her work at SSPC Tanya is also a member of
the Physio Team of the Western Bulldogs at AFL level.
Her experience and work at the highest level has given
her great exposure to the latest trends in sports medicine
and orthopaedics. She is very interested in hip and
groin pathology in athletes and clinical pilates.

Maria
Katsouranis
Myotherapist
Maria is a qualified Myotherapist and Personal
Trainer. She has a very loyal following of clients who
seek her services for a variety of soft tissue ailments.
Her myotherapy involves techniques such as traditional
sports, remedial and therapeutic massage, dry needling
and cupping. As well as her myotherapy consultation,
Maria also runs group exercise classes at SSPC throughout
the week and works very closely with our physiotherapy
team.

Nicole
Moroney
Dietitian
Nicole is an experienced Accredited Practicing
Dietitian and an Accredited Nutritionist. She has a
Master of Nutrition and Dietetics and is a member of
the Dietitians’ Association of Australia. Nicole
has a wide range of dietetic experience working at both
Caulfield and Bentleigh Bayside Community Health Services.
As a mother of two young children Nicole’s areas
of interest are pregnancy, children and family nutrition.
Nicole is the founder of Best Food Forward and consults
from SSPC on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dzienciol
Orthotist
David graduated with honours from La Trobe University
in 2003, and as a fully qualified Orthotist David manufactures
his own orthotics rather than outsourcing them, as most
Podiatrists do, to ensure they are made to the highest
possible standard. David's main area of iinterest is
custom and pre-fabricated foot orthotics however he
also has extensive experience in the fitting and manufacture
of various braces and compression garments for all parts
of the body. David consults at SSPC twice a week, on
Monday and Friday afternoons.

Di
Reception
Dianne started as one of our full time receptionists
in December 2001. She comes to us after working in the
Taxi Industry from 1970 including the office manager role
at the taxi depot for the past 11 years. Di is married
with 3 children and one grandson and is trying to take
some
time away from her other love-Collingwood. She is a passionate
Collingwood supporter and follows them all around the
country but swears she is not one of the misbehaved Collingwood
army. Running a distant second to the Magies are her other
past times such as Gardening, knitting things for her
grand son and baby sitting him. |

Stephanie
Reception
Joining SSPC in 2004, Stephanie was interested
in the day-to-day operations of a physiotherapy clinic.
Bringing with her a significant amount of experience
in customer service, and having completed her studies
in book-keeping, Stephanie
is now an integral part of the front-end management
of our clinic. |

Sarah
Reception
Sarah is a full time receptionist at SSPC having
had significant experience in physiotherapy reception
in the past, making her an exceptionally important part
of our front end team. Outside of work, Sarah is a keen
softball player. |

Reception
Joining SSPC in 2007, Michelle has taken to her
job as a full time receptionist at SSPC with ease. Michelle's
background was in the hospitality industry, however
she has recently completed Medical Reception qualifications
and is now a very valuable member of the SSPC team. |

Lauren
Reception
Lauren joined SSPC as a casual receptionist in
2006 whilst studying her under-graduate course. Whilst
being an important member of the SSPC, Lauren is also
a very promising middle distance runner for Glenhuntly.
Lauren is also a qualified personal trainer.

Brendan
Reception
Brendan is a second year physiotherapy student
and is working part time as a physio assistant and back
up receptionist. Brendan is one of Australia’s most
promising distance runners having won the prestigious
junior Zatopek classic in 2004. He has already represented
Australia and is hoping to further improve his running
while working at SSPC. |
