Our physios are able to assess you with particular reference to the sport or recreational activity you wish to undertake and then design a program to help you reach your goals. Such advice may involve warm up and stretching techniques, strength training regimes, taping techniques, shoe selection, postural tips and exercises, and the use of massage as a means of health maintenance. We are experienced in the treatment of injuries to people from all walks of life and of all ages and treat people ranging from elite level athletes training for international competition, to people who need pain relief to just get through a normal day. At SSPC we take the time to understand how a particular injury or pain is affecting the individual and treat this holistically in the context of the person’s lifestyle. We adopt a “hands-on” approach to the treatment of all musculo-skeletal injuries and incorporate a proactive exercise based method where we aim to not only return the injured person back to their previous level of physical function as soon as possible, but also with reduced likelihood of the injury returning.
