Clinical Pilates Physiotherapists


Our Physio’s have post graduate qualifications in Clinical Pilates ensuring you receive a program that is tailored to your injury or fitness requirements, on state of the art Pilates equipment. Individual or groups sessions (of up to 5) are available.


Anthony Lance


Anthony also graduated from La Trobe University in 1992. Anthony’s major sporting background is with football, and his special interests include knee and ankle injuries. Anthony also has advanced training in Clinical Pilates and heads our Clinical Pilates program.


Nathan Powyer


Nathan has a wealth of experience in sports and spinal physiotherapy. He graduated in 1999 from Sydney University and has worked in private practice both here and abroad. He has experience working as a physiotherapist for state and national level teams in sports like Netball, Soccer, Hockey and Cricket.



Tanya Szylkrot


Tanya is a Melbourne University graduate and as a physiotherapist she has a very keen interest in sporting injuries especially in lower limb sports. She has also had experience working as a physiotherapist with the Western Bulldogs at AFL level. Her experience and work at the highest level has given her great exposure to the latest trends in sports medicine and orthopaedics. She is very interested in hip and groin pathology in athletes and clinical pilates.


Audrey Day


Audrey graduated as a Physiotherapist from La Trobe University with Honours in 2011, having previously graduated from Melbourne University, also with Honours, with a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences degree. Audrey had experience within the physiotherapy private practice sector prior to joining SSPC in 2013. Audrey has extensive experience working as a physiotherapist with local football clubs. She is a Level 1 and 2 trained DMA Pilates therapist, along with having completed Part A (Lumbar Spine) of the four part McKenzie course. Audrey is also qualified in dry needling. In her spare time she enjoys playing squash.


Nicholas Charalambous


Nicholas joined SSPC having previously worked in private practice, and with a love of all sports. In particular, Nichola€™s’ passion is soccer, having been physio at State League 1 and 2 clubs, but also having experience with North Melbourne Football Club in the AFL. Personally, Nicholas is a passionate AFL Tigers supporter, follows global soccer just as obsessively, and loves jogging and gym training. Within his professional life, Nicholas enjoys treating all musculo-skeletal injuries and is one of SSPC’s Clinical Pilates physio’™s.


Kirsty Ashley


Kirsty completed her undergraduate Physiotherapy training at Auckland University. In 2005 she moved to Tasmania where she had been working at the North West Regional Hospital as a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist until recently moving to Melbourne to start work in the private sector. Kirsty has extensive Paediatric experience in the areas of orthopaedics (both traumatic and developmental), cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions, down syndrome, infant development, plagiocephaly, cystic fibrosis, gross motor development, biomechanical issues, gait analysis and rehabilitation. Kirsty also has a background in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with particular interest in adolescent biomechanical issues, chronic pain self management, patellofemoral syndrome and lower limb biomechanics and management of low back pain. Some of her postgraduate courses are: Paediatric Orthopaedics, biomechanics of the lower limb, the sporting shoulder, exercise in diabetes, chronic condition self management, explain pain and the sensitive nervous system, gait analysis and hydrotherapy for infants and adults.
